One of the checks
How long has it been trading?
The softest check on the list, and the one that correlates with the most disappointment. Age does not measure quality. It measures how much time a token has had to demonstrate anything at all.
What it is
The thing being measured
Every pair carries a creation timestamp. Subtract it from now and you have the entire trading history of the thing. On a pair four hours old, every chart pattern, every holder count and every volume figure describes four hours.
We flag rather than refuse because being new is not a finding against anybody. It is the state every token passes through, including the ones that turn out to be fine.
Without taking our word for it
Check it yourself
The same call as pool depth, reading the timestamp.
curl -s https://api.dexscreener.com/latest/dex/tokens/MINT \
| jq '[.pairs[] | select(.chainId=="solana")]
| max_by(.liquidity.usd)
| {created: (.pairCreatedAt/1000 | todate),
hours: ((now - .pairCreatedAt/1000) / 3600 | floor)}'
hours under the published flag line
Young. Flagged, and stated on the seat rather than hidden.
A creation date older than the project's own account
Worth a second look — a recycled pair is not the same thing as a new one.
Our door policy
What we do with the answer
A pair younger than our flag line is never a refusal. It is a flag, printed under the seat, so the reader knows what they are looking at.
Every threshold on this site is published before it is applied. All of them, on one page.

What this measurement does not establish
Pair age is not token age. A mint can predate its deepest pair by months, and a pair can be recreated on a new AMM, resetting the clock on a token that has been trading all along.
New is not bad. This flag exists so that a reader looking at our wall knows how much history is behind what they are reading, not to suggest that a young token is a dishonest one.
The Wall sells twenty-four advertising seats and screens every contract before selling one. It is a door policy, not a rating: we have no opinion on whether anyone should hold, buy or sell anything, and we are not qualified to have one.
Where this check gets used
Every refusal is published, with its measurement
A badge nobody can audit is a marketing claim. The ledger · what last night's round found, counted and unnamed.
